Back to a blank canvas

Almost every good garden project starts with taking something out. Overgrowth, old fence runs, rotten decking, cracked slabs and whatever has quietly accumulated behind the shed. Clearing it properly, rather than mowing over it, is what makes the next stage straightforward.

We strip the garden back and leave the ground in a state you can actually build on. Where removal is included in the quotation, agreed waste and surplus materials are removed by Sonset Projects or an appropriately licensed waste carrier, and the working area is left tidy. If new fencing, decking or paving is going in afterwards, we can carry straight on into it.

  • Overgrown gardens cut back and cleared
  • Old fencing, posts and gravel boards removed
  • Rotten decking, slabs and concrete taken out
  • Green waste and garden rubbish removed where included in the quotation
  • Ground levelled and prepared for what comes next

Clearance that leads somewhere

Clearance is often stage one rather than the whole job. Because we also install the fencing, gates, decking and paving that usually follow, there is no gap between clearing the garden and starting the real work, and no second company to brief.

If you already know what you want the garden to become, tell us at the quote stage. We will clear it in a way that suits what is going in next, including getting the levels roughly right while the machinery is still on site.

Clearance questions, answered

Is waste removal included?

Where removal is included in the quotation, agreed waste and surplus materials are removed by Sonset Projects or an appropriately licensed waste carrier, and the working area is left tidy. Tell us roughly what is there when you enquire so it can be priced in properly rather than added on afterwards.

Can you clear a garden that has been left for years?

Those are the ones we like. Heavily overgrown gardens, self-seeded trees, old sheds and years of accumulated bits are all normal work for us. Photos help enormously with pricing, so send as many as you can.

Do you do clearance on its own, or only before other work?

Both. Plenty of clearances are standalone, often for a house sale, a new tenancy or a garden that simply got away from someone. It just as often forms the first stage of a bigger project.

Can you take out old fencing, decking and concrete?

Yes. Old fence runs, rotten decking, concrete bases, slabs and hardstanding can all come out. Where the ground underneath needs levelling afterwards we can do that in the same visit.

What happens after the clearance?

That is up to you. Some customers stop there with a clean, usable garden. Others carry straight on into new fencing, decking, a patio or a full transformation, which is easier and cheaper when the same team is already on site.

Garden got away from you?

Send photos and your postcode. We will price the clearance properly, setting out clearly what removal is included.
